BORN on 4 July 2000 in Lenzburg, I grew up in the Lucerne Oberland in a small rural village called Pfaffnau.
Until I moved with my mother and two half-siblings on my mother's side to the small town of Langenthal.
WHERE I spent the rest of my youth, I transferred from the municipal school to the Rudolf Steiner School, where I discovered the origins of my creative streak.
To prepare for my English Matura, I went to Santa Fe in the United States, which marked the beginning of my artistic career.
I BEGAN documenting my everyday life in sketchbooks to better understand my experiences in a country where I felt like a stranger.
I FELT even more alienated in my camouflage uniform with a pistol in my holster during my service as a Soldier, I used every single break to jot down my thoughts with a pen.
ONCE I had to put the pen down to salute Süssli, not exactly the model of a left-wing person.
BUT whatever, it certainly taught me something: I wasn't born a soldier and would be the first in the battalion to step on a mine, so as a civilian, I decided to lay the mines myself with pen and paper.
I DECIDED to challenge the audience as a filmmaker and encourage them to think. In times of uncertainty and a non-existent culture of debate, we need art that entices and results in emotional coffee rounds. So don't worry, my mines are at least not lethal.
